And of course I decided to create a new website for myself which happened to coincide with the arrival of my precious little son Thomas (hence why it’s taken so long to go live)! I hope this new website will depict the many facets of what I am about and what I can do.

I feel very privileged to have created my own job description, one which explores a variety of creative avenues; from my art to styling to creating visual concepts for my clients beautiful products. I have worked and continue to work alongside many inspiring and creative people with in this realm. I hope this website is a reflection of all the influences and creative experiences I have enjoyed throughout my career and what will continue to be just as rewarding in the future…I look forward to many more new projects which I can sink my creative teeth into!

A huge thanks has to go out to Brian Ronson from Antiques of Epson, who allowed me to forage at great length through his shop. It was a wonderful source of inspiration and many of the pieces that create the various medals were discovered here.

Another source of inspiration was Victorian guilt filled floor to ceiling with a variety of beautiful linen, fabrics vintage clothes, teatowels collected over many years and just waiting to be re-discovered!

Babushka Antiques is a wee gem in the burbs.The quaint corner shop is filled with the most beautiful china. It was the perfect place to find some of the elements for my ‘Ladies Luncheon’ medal. Westmere,Auckland (09) 378 9226

Aging the fabrics for the medal ribbons – I chose Trelise Cooper’s beautiful interior fabric range. The fabrics were Tea dyed, bleached and sandpapered! It took a lot of elbow grease to get the desired vintage effect, no doubt a great testament to the quality of the fabric!
